Mr.
Montoya is a Cuban born, New York raised immigrant. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) & has a Bachelor’s
Degree in Electrical Engineering, from Stevens
Institute of Technology, in Hoboken, New Jersey. His career began by developing
high-speed microprocessor based test equipment
for a small manufacturing company in Southern California. Four years later he
was recruited to work for Hughes Aircraft Company
as a Member of Technical Staff in the
aerospace and defense sector. After General Motors’
acquisition of Hughes, he was one of a handful of engineers selected to transfer
to Detroit, Michigan, as part of a “technology
exchange” program between the two firms. This team, later formed
Hughes Consulting Group, a manufacturing information
systems firm providing various program management
and business process re-engineering services throughout
GM. With over twenty years of corporate experience,
under his belt & the Internet developing at its current exponential rate,
Mr. Montoya pondered on the following question: “How
can small & mid-size business owners learn, use & apply the technological
advances that can help their companies be more effective; WITHOUT the necessary
resources; AND still have time to focus on operating their business profitably?”
The answer to this question evolved into Equisit
Creations.
